What's New
Our goals for 2009 are as follows:
- Improved player and coach development
A program for coaches and players targeted on technique and improved skill development. A dedicated position has been added to the board to support the effort. - Improved team formation & skills evaluation
Each year we evaluate our program to ensure that our assessment of player skill levels as well as the formation of teams is fair and unbiased. This year is no exception as we are continually looking for ways to improve. Additional information on our player evaluation process and player commitment can be found on our web site.
- Senior Federal coaches
Pacer JBO will endeavor to provide the highest quality of coaching for the Senior Federal team and this may include a paid coach. If a paid coach is selected for the Senior Federal level then that team would be responsible for the coaching costs. Discussions are underway as to whether to have paid coaches at other levels within the organization.
- Structured clinics program (High school, NW Diamond Sports)
Clinics available for players, coaches, and parents. The goal is to offer 10+ clinics throughout the season. More information - Player Evaluation Process
As we do every year, we are looking closely at the player evaluation process to ensure that it aligns with other Junior Baseball organizations in the Portland area. More information.
- Capital Improvement Projects
Renovation of the High School varsity and JV fields, improvements to the hitting barn, field improvements on ALL JBO fields.
