2009 PACER JUNIOR BASEBALL AGREEMENT (3-8 grades)
In past years, the Clackamas County Junior Baseball League’s regular season games begin in May and end at the beginning of July. Teams usually play these games Monday – Friday throughout the county. Teams may also elect to attend tournaments which are traditionally played on weekends throughout the entire season. Post season County and State playoffs follow the regular season and have the potential of going from July to the beginning of August (approximately half of the teams will qualify).
***READ VERY CAREFULLY***
We are asking families to indicate their level of commitment to the baseball schedule so that we can do our best to form teams that will have sufficient compatible players to compete throughout the season. We will do our best to accommodate like players/interest levels, but make no guarantees. Please confirm your acknowledgement below.
Player placement is based on a combination of the following:
- Player Skill Determination
- Player chooses to participate in formal skills evaluation and both player and parent acknowledge that player skill will be independently assessed at evaluations held in January and February or
- Player chooses not to participate in formal skills evaluation and will be placed on an National Level team in players age group
- Player wishes to tryout for the Federal Level team in the player age group and parent acknowledges and understands that if player is selected to play on the Federal Level team, parent is responsible for additional fees necessary for hired coaches.
- Both player and parent acknowledge and understand that team divisions (Midget, Junior, Senior) consist of multiple age/grades. Players in the younger age/grade will be placed on higher level teams (American, Federal) only if player skill is significantly advanced for the players age/grade.

- Player and family commit to being available for all practices and games played in both the entire regular season and post season playoffs or

Pacer JBO does its very best to keep teams as small as possible to give players maximum playing time and opportunity to develop their baseball skills. By indicating your family’s commitment level honestly, we can set team size to insure that players have the opportunity to play a full season. Barring emergencies, if a family does not make all reasonable efforts to live up to the level of commitment that indicated above, that player’s status will be reconsidered for future play in the league. |
