Lakeridge supports Friends of Baseball

Lakeridge Pacer Junior Baseball is pleased to be associated with the Friends of Baseball, an organization formed over a year ago to assist youth baseball/softball in areas of Portland and Northwest Oregon that are financially underserved. More specifically, their focus is dedicated to the enrichment of youth, parents and their relationship through baseball and softball. Through the generous support of Metro Baseball, Nike Baseball and Frank Bashor Supplies, The Lakeridge baseball program was able to donate baseballs, helmets, catchers gear and fielding gloves to several local area teams.

"Lakeridge Pacer Junior Baseball, its players, and its board have established a whole new opportunity for Friends of Baseball to impact youth baseball and softball in our community where the need is greatest.  As our Trustees were focused on searching out teams in need of a financial boost, we never dreamed we would find a team and organization that would search us out to assist in lending a hand with a significant donation of both new and used equipment.  In many, many ways this new relationship is one of my most fulfilling and rewarding moments since the inception of Friends of Baseball.  We simply can't thank you enough in true terms consistent with its meaning to our young organization.  All of this equipment is now in current use perhaps by a team that might not be playing otherwise"
